GA Natural Gas Rates for July

This month's energy tip: Healthy natural gas flames are blue, sometimes
with a yellow tip. Except for your fireplace, which is designed to burn
a warm yellow, never use a natural gas appliance that produces yellow
flames.

Natural gas marketers quote only the gas rates, but your bill includes
customer service fees and other charges that add up. Be sure to compare
rates on an "Apples-to-Apples" basis, which includes everything on your
bill except taxes. Here are the "Apples-to-Apples" per-therm rates
offered by Georgia marketers this month:

1) ACN Energy (877-226-5389): $2.30 Variable
2) blackEnergy (www.blackenergy.com): $2.02 Variable or $1.53 Fixed
3) Coweta-Fayette EMC (877-RINGEMC): $2.00 Variable or $1.43 Fixed
4) GasKey (877-GAS-1KEY): $2.05 Variable or $1.43 Fixed
5) Georgia Natural Gas (877-850-6200): $2.11 Variable or $1.47 Fixed
6) Infinite Energy (877-DIAL-IEI): $2.12 Variable or $1.53 Fixed
7) Scana Energy (877-GO-SCANA): $2.07 Variable or $1.44 Fixed
8) Shell Energy (877-67-SHELL): $2.10 Variable or $1.43 Fixed
9) Southern Company Gas (866-SOCO-GAS): $2.00 Variable or $1.44 Fixed
10) Vectren Source (866-200-5693): $2.03 Variable or $1.49 Fixed
11) Walton EMC (866-WEMC-GAS): $1.98 Variable or $1.43 Fixed

Contact your chosen marketer to sign up for a monthly variable rate or
one-year fixed rate. They'll order Atlanta Gas Light to transfer your
account, and you'll be switched to your new marketer on the 1st of next
month if you call by the 19th.

I will let you know... blackenergy.com equates with black/white
restrooms in GA. It WILL generate the ill will of people. Just so you
know.

I remember the first "Black pages" phone book that came out in GA. It
was a disaster. Do NOT become the disaster!

Rename the link, migrate it to something socially acceptable to all
people and all this goes away. People do not like being racially
unacceptable regardless of reason. It's not something that works one
way and swings OK to the other side.

I am told our customers love our name. Besides, I would miss all this
excitement if we changed it. I admit to finding comic relief in those
who grow apoplectic about a thread they believe to be spam, as if they
were somehow forced to seek out and click the "natural gas" link each
month.

Interesting to me that some people think only of opposites, as if
pro-black meant anti-anything. It's the times, I suppose, but we don't
have to fall for that kind of thinking. Here's my favorite quote, from
former Texas representative Barbara Jordan: "Do not call for black
power or green power... call for brain power." Thanks as always for
your comments, NC.

Why do you post this junk here every month. No one is
interested. I don't even pay for gas directly because it is
part of my HOA fees.

It would be better if you posted this type of material on
alt.test if you really must engage in such compulsive
behavior. Your message is off-topic and inappropriate.

Like most liberals, you are content to let groups, associations and the
government pay your way and your bills. So you have no interest in what
things really cost. Your words are both damning and telling--- laying the
dependent and childlike nature of the liberal mindset out for all to
ridicule.

The rest of us pay our own gas bill and we're very interested in who has the
best rates. Yo, Sonja-- keep on postin'

and inappropriate.
Joe
And I'm supposed to be impressed? When was the last time you
changed your provider just because you saw a few pennies
difference? I isn't worth it. In the end they all cost
approximately the same once they start throwing in all of
the junk fees. You are just trying to impressed us by saying
that you care, but in the end you are part of the problem
not part of the solution.

Why do you post this junk here every month. No one is interested. I don't
even pay for gas directly because it is part of my HOA fees.

No, I'm not trying to impress anyone-- just point out how you and your
liberal band of brothers are silly ignorant nitwits.

You still don't get it-- and now you're 0 for 2 understanding my posts! I'm
going to quit here. And if you have any self-respect left, you'll
unsubscribe from this group....or better still, yank your phone cord or

Why would I do something as silly as running a phone cord to
my computer. That is so 1980's.

If I bother you so much, perhaps you should unsubscribe.
I've been here for 7 years and I'm not going anywhere. You
are a mere newcomer. If you don't like my opinions I'll
guarantee you that I'll never post them on
airnews.alt.media.anime so you'll be safe from me there.

How am I ever supposed to understand your posts when you
don't say anything cogent? Go ahead and quit. I promise I
won't even notice you are gone.

Stahl wants to run Usenet based on a seniority system.
My, that is soooooooo liberal left wing, forcing people
into an arcane government seniority system so that one
might partake of that particular government service.

There you go. Making things up again. Trying to translate
your private fantasy into an impossible reality.

All I was doing was pointing out that I had been here for a
while and wasn't about to go anywhere and if that bothers
certain people then that is a problem they have to deal
with. There is no problem from my point of view.

Why is it that some people only come here to criticize and
not make positive contributions to the NG? Are their lives
that pathetic? Again, if I bother you switch to
airnews.alt.media.anime. I promise never to post there.

Typical of an elitist liberal, Stahl claims to support blacks, but
when a black-owned business competes on the open market,
he is critical. Why? Because when blacks become successful
through their own efforts, they no longer need the huge tax
supported government spending programs which leftist liberals
are so fond of. And when that happens, the liberal Democreeps
lose their dependence constituency, upon whose votes they
count on. Exactly why the liberal left Democraps hate
Condi Rice and Clarence Thomas so much. Both of these
highly successful black Americans rose from poverty to some
of the highest government offices in our country, and they did
it without a dime from government social spending programs.
Liberal left Democrat hypocrisy is so easily exposed.

I didn't notice it was black owned, nor do I particularly
care. All I see is that every month this stuff is posted and
it really doesn't benefit anyone but because I pointed this
you everyone wants to jump on it as a liberal/conservative
issue.

Rice/Thomas didn't get where they are by touting gas prices.
Or don't you notice details like that?

You conservatives are so scared of liberals at this point
that you'll lash out on anything. Conservatives don't get it
- they've already spent the last of whatever political
capital they may have had at one point and are desperate to
quell the move towards a more sensible political atmosphere.

The information about gas prices is an attempt to
commercialize this newsgroup and as such it is off topic.
The rejection of advertisements has been universal for years
here.

Oh Really? Based on whose rules, yours? Oh I see, now

to censor all viewpoints, except their own biased view of the

It wasn't a viewpoint. It was a commercial advertisement and
the sole purpose was to tout the service of a single
company. There was no opinion and the poster is notable for
never posting anything except that particular advertisement.

Face the truth Stahl. You will only achieve happiness when you
go to a moderated group, where you are the sole moderator.
Moreover, you have used this group as your personal blog for
years, so is it ok if we object to *your* perceived misuse of this
group?

This month's energy tip: Healthy natural gas flames are blue, sometimes
with a yellow tip. Except for your fireplace, which is designed to burn
a warm yellow, never use a natural gas appliance that produces yellow
flames.
Natural gas marketers quote only the gas rates, but your bill includes
customer service fees and other charges that add up. Be sure to compare
rates on an "Apples-to-Apples" basis, which includes everything on your
bill except taxes. Here are the "Apples-to-Apples" per-therm rates

Not always. The only way to know is to use a properly calibrated CO
detector. The properly calibrated comment is because I recently purchased a
used CO detector at a pawn shop that had never been calibrated since it left
the factory 7 years before. I sent it in with a check for $125.00 for a new
sensor and one years worth of calibration(supposed to be done 2X a year).
