GA Natural Gas Rates for December

This month's energy tip: Use a timer to avoid keeping your Christmas
house and tree lights on all night.

If you have an annual contract for natural gas and you don't check the
rates when you're eligible to switch, you could end up with a variable
rate that empties your pocket each month. Marketers quote only the gas
rates, but your bill includes customer service fees and other charges
that add up. Be sure to compare "Apples-to-Apples" rates, which include
everything but taxes.

As published by the PSC, here are the "Apples-to-Apples" rates (with
typical December bills) offered by Georgia marketers for annual
contracts signed this month:

1) Coweta-Fayette EMC (877-RINGEMC): $1.36/therm or $162.39
2) GasKey (877-GAS-1KEY): $1.36/therm or $162.39
3) Georgia Natural Gas (877-850-6200): $1.38/therm or $164.43
4) Infinite Energy (877-342-5434): $1.36/therm or $162.39
5) Scana Energy (877-GO-SCANA): $1.36/therm or $163.51
6) Shell Energy (877-67-SHELL): $1.40/therm or $167.67
7) Southern Company Gas (866-SOCO-GAS): $1.40/therm or $167.67
8) Vectren Source (866-200-5693): $1.35/therm or $161.07
9) Walton EMC (866-WEMCGAS): $1.33/therm or $159.02
[See
http://www.psc.state.ga.us/gas/marketerpricing/2004/Dec04/dec04gmpl.asp
for more info.]

To choose a new marketer, call them at the number above and sign up for
a one-year fixed rate. They will order Atlanta Gas Light and your
current marketer to transfer your account, and they will process the
switch the same month if you call by the 19th.

There is a subsidy for the elderly. I'll assume that all those little
loopholes were taken into account?

Difficult to keep things going for everyone when nobody knows the rates.
Should also point out the County, mine being DeKalb, for a bit of
realism. I'll pull equivalent DeKalb rates tomorrow and post them.

Reality begins where spam leaves off. So, post or spam? I'll let ya
know when I refer to my bill tomorrow. Everybody can have a clue and
everyone can play. My kinda small pool in a great big world, eh?

I don't believe senior-citizen rates are included in the figures I'm
quoting, but they are listed at the PSC link (top of page). The rates I
list each month are for annual contracts beginning that month and
include *everything* except taxes for a proper comparison. These rates
are not quoted by marketers nor listed on bills, but they are
calculated by the PSC based on average customer data.

Seasonally adjusted rates have been rising for years, so no one should
expect to renew their contracts at the rates they now enjoy. Since
we're near the high point of the year for rates, everyone with a
natural gas contract is paying less now than they will in the future.

My oh my. We have a disagreement.

If people in china take an interest in Atlanta groups, I think that's up
to them.

That a supporter of the PSC moves within the groups is not a concern of
mine. Harassing people in the groups can make me unfriendly. It's a
bad time of the year to have me be unfriendly. Alot of potential energy
awaiting transformation to the kinetic type.

I like to be clear... You would choose to destroy the process of sharing
info and educating society in order to persecute a person based solely
on race. Make up fallacies to facilitate that? You would do that?
I do like to be very clear before deconstructing anyone.

People shouldn't fuck with the facts. It's a bad habit to get into.

I don't care for intimidation and I don't really think I like you.

Wanna play?

NC :)
